Hello! Welcome to Tips 4 Thai!
This blog was created for those who are learning or who are considering to learn the Thai language.

The main goals of this blog are:

  • To promote awareness for an amazing language that all too many Westerners overlook (or don’t even know exits).
  • To be sort of a hub for tips, advice and information gathered from all over the net (and our own experiences).
  • To create a friendly environment for helping one another understand and use Thai.
  • To introduce Thai language and culture to those who have never heard of it.

If you’re thinking of learning a new langauge, you should give Thai a try! It’s easy, beautiful and has a great history and culture behind it. If you’re already studying Thai- excellent! Keep it up!  Let’s help each other get better, shall we?

If you have any ideas, advice or links to share, please feel free to post in our blog. The only rule is it must somehow be related to Thai language or culture. (And nothing lewd please.)

About me: My name is Rita and I have been studying Thai language and culture on my own for a year and a half now. I can read, write, understand and speak Thai at about an intermediate level. I’m lucky enough to have gone to Thailand myself once and I can’t wait to go back!
I’m neither an expert nor teacher. I’m still a student myself. And if you asked any of my Thai friends, I’m sure they’d be quick to tell you that I still have a ways to go. Heh, heh!
Let’s help each other, huh?

      • I’ve been living in Thailand for four years, and so that is my main motivation for learning Thai. I like to be able to understand what is happening around me. My husband is Thai, and so it’s nice to speak to him in Thai, and his family can’t speak a word of English!!

      • Wow, wow! Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions. I’m no expert but sometimes you need another “farang” to give a clear explanation, right? ha ha!
